The Director, Jákup Mikkelsen, is also a Member of Parliament for the Norðoyggjar area. Kjolbro Wholesale curr- ently distributes a wide variety of products to the fishing, industrial and retail sectors within the Faroe Islands and is one of the few companies in the north listed in FOIR. As from 1st January 2003, it will take over the agency for the Norwegian company, Mus- tad. Mustad has been an award winning hook manu- facturer for 125 years and is well known for the high quality of its products. Poul Andrias Mikladal, Marketing Manager at Kjolbro Wholesale, will be in charge of selling Mustad Autoline systems, long lin- es and hooks and also of carrying out installation, repairs and maintenance, as well as supplying spare parts. He is pleased that Kjol- bro Wholesale, after many years of selling the renown- ed Mustad hooks, will now be able to provide a com- prehensive service to long- line fishermen, all under one roof. He is also loo- king forward to being able to announce details, early in the New Year, of a semi- nar to be held in the Faroe Islands by Jan Lybekk, Marketing Director from the Mustad Headquarters in Gjøvik. This seminar will be accompanied by a “road show” during which the Coastal Autoline system will be demonstrated. Poul Andrias Mikladal is no stranger to the fishing industry as he is a mechan- ical engineer with a specialism in refrigeration, who has worked in ship building & repairs, fishing processing, ice production and fish farming, not to mention making some fish- ing trips on long liners in his younger days. As highlighted at the Offshore Faroes conference, there are many products needed by both the Faroese Fishing and the Offshore industries and Kjolbro Wholesale is at the centre when it comes to satisfying this demand.
