Today, separation technology offers application -orientated, innovative solutions in machine design and process engineering for many sectors including beverage technology, dairy technology, oil and fat processing, mineral-oil cleaning and environmental technology. Westfalia Separator in Iceland has been responsible for the market in Iceland and the Faeroe-Islands since 2005 and is now participating in the North Atlantic Fish Fair for the first time. The company has a stand at A- 110 and in this exhibition it is mainly focusing on the marine and the ship industry. With continuous increase of fuel price in the world, vessels owners are looking more and more to retrofit they’re vessel with cheaper fuel, so called “Heavy Fuel”. Westfalia Separa­ tor has the exact equipment for the change over or modifications onboard such as the “Visco Booster Unit”, which is a unit making the fuel ready for combustion in the main engine onboard. Furthermore, Westfalia has separators for fuel, diesel, lub.oil and even to clean the bilge water and minimize the sludge.
