The ENI exploration manager, Mr Alessandro Gelmetti:
– We intend to drill in the
second quarter of 2009
Although the drilling platform
West Phoenix, which will drill
the Anne Marie well in the
Faroes, in license no. 005 for
ENI, is somewhat delayed, the
ENI exploration manager, Mr
Alessandro Gelmetti does not
believe the drilling will be
significantly delayed: -Because
the drilling platform is delayed
somewhat, we intend to drill in
the second quarter of 2009.
Otherwise, our preparation work
is proceeding according to plan
and the technical aspect is
according to our set timetable.
We will hand the Faroe
authorities our final drilling
application in accordance with
the terms and conditions imposed
upon us by the Petroleum
authorities,” says Mr Gelmetti.
Sosialurin understands the
intention was to commence the
drilling in the month of February.
ENI is the operating company
for this project and the other
participating companies are
Faroe Petroleum and the
Japanese oil company Idemitsu.
