Most shops offer foreign customers tax-free shopping and they thereby have the option of reclaiming most of the V.A.T. initially charged. These shops are recognisable by the Tax Free sign on the doorway or by the till. Trondur Patursson SMS also supports Faroe art and very often an art display is on view in the building.
